Balkan Journal of Philosophy

Editorial Procedure

The Balkan Journal of Philosophy applies a two-step evaluation procedure. Submitted manuscripts are first assessed for compliance with the journal’s publication policy and professional standards. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s requirements are desk rejected. Those that successfully pass the initial assessment are sent for anonymous (double-blind) peer review by two independent referees. The review process normally takes 8 to 12 weeks, although it may take longer if a reviewer declines the invitation or submits a delayed report. The final decision on the publication of a submitted manuscript is made by the Editor-in-Chief on the basis of the reports provided by the external reviewers.
